My Journey in Healing and Therapy
Early Education and Exploration
My path in holistic healing began after earning a BSc in Biological Sciences and obtaining a certificate in Counselling Skills. In 2004, I embarked on a transformative journey through Central and South America, dedicating a year to studying with Con Ciencia Indígena in Mexico. This immersive experience focused on enhancing attention, shedding old patterns, and walking a path with heart. The training delved deep into understanding the ego, recognising unhealthy patterns, and practising transformative tools like deep nature connection, recapitulation, and vision quests.
Spiritual Growth and Earth-Based Practices
My journey continued with study with Brandon Bays and in Reiki and Bach Flower Remedies. A pivotal moment came with my two-year training to become a Minister of Walking Prayer with the Center for Sacred Studies (CSS) in California. This comprehensive training encompassed Earth-based connections from various traditions, the power of prayer, spiritual practices, and tending to sacred space. Today, I work with CSS as a spiritual mentor, supporting students on their own journeys.
Expanding Horizons: Academic and Indigenous Wisdom
While deepening my spiritual practice, I simultaneously pursued an MSc in land-based conservation at Bangor University, which led me to settle in Wales. This academic pursuit was complemented by an apprenticeship with Arwyn DreamWalker, a respected teacher and healer in the Medicine Traditions of Turtle Island, further enriching my understanding of indigenous healing practices.
Deepening Therapeutic Skills
In 2012, I began studying Creative Kinesiology—a tradition utilising muscle testing to investigate. This exploration led to completing practitioner training in Perceptual Bodywork in 2019, where I leaned techniques for release, healing, and bringing the body’s systems into balance. A significant milestone in my therapeutic journey came in 2023 when I achieved certification as a Compassionate Inquiry® Practitioner, adopting the psychotherapeutic approach developed by Dr. Gabor Maté. I currently work as an intern for the organisation, supporting their ongoing courses and deepening my practice of this powerful approach.
Integrating Diverse Healing Modalities
Continuously expanding my toolkit, I’ve trained with Annu Tarra in Cacao medicine, Daniel Floor in Ancestral healing, and Shawna Bluestar Newcombe, one of the Mother Earth Delegates. I’ve also deepened my practice in complementary therapies such as Reiki, Bach Flower Remedies, and Tarot reading. These diverse experiences have enriched my practice, allowing me to offer a truly integrative approach to healing.
My Practice Today
As a trauma-informed therapist based in Wales, I offer a unique blend of therapeutic approaches and healing modalities. My practice includes:
- One-to-one therapy sessions (both online and in-person)
- Spiritual mentorship
- Divination sessions and teaching
- Transformative ceremonial spaces using movement, cacao, and sacred fire
- Regular community dances aligned with the Celtic calendar
- Use of herbs for space clearing and cleansing
My approach integrates trauma-informed therapy, Earth-based spiritual practices, and somatic healing techniques to support individuals on their journey towards authenticity, inner peace, and holistic well-being.
